These data are from collecting events beginning in 1955 by Ross and Joyce Bell and associates, as well as reliable records from literature gathered by the authors. This dataset was used for this book: Bell, Ross T. 2015. Carabidae of Vermont and New Hampshire. 2nd ed. Shires Press, Manchester Center, Vermont. 385pp. ( https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.7716359.v1 ). Most locations of specimens were georeferenced by the authors on paper maps for each species using township borders as a reference when placing a location. Most of the specimens for this dataset and the publication can be found in the Carl T. Parsons Entomology Collection at the Zadock Thompson Zoological Collection at the University of Vermont.
