Island Kelpfish. To 15 cm (5.9 in) TL (González-Acosta et al. 2018). San Miguel Island, southern California (Love et al. 2005) to Isla Asuncion (27 ° 06 ’ N, 114 ° 18 ’ W), southern Baja California (M. L., unpubl. data), Rocas Alijos (24 ° 57.5 ’ N, 115 ° 45 ’ W) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California), and into the Gulf of California at least as far northward as Playa Caleritas (24 ° 21 ’ N, 110 ° 17 ’ W) (González-Acosta et al. 2018).
