The proposed corridor connecting Singhalila National Park and Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary is a 51.5 km long stretch of land starting from the Phalut Forest Block between Sikkim and West Bengal and passing through the compact forests of Wildlife Division I and Darjeeling Forest Division up to the Ghoom Bhanjang Forest Block of the Darjeeling Forest Division. It extends to the Dhooterial Block of Senchal Range of Wildlife Division I. The northern slopes are drained by the Ramam River, the Great Rangit River, and the Little Rangit River, all of which are tributaries of the Teesta River. The tract is intersected by numerous rapid hill torrents forming deep valleys with steep and often precipitous sides.
