Study Extent

This project focused on the digitization and mobilization of the data from two Dominican institutions (the Instituto de Investigaciones Botánicas y Zoológicas and the Museo Nacional de Historia Natural Prof. Eugenio de Jesús Marcano) to Symbiota and GBIF portals.

Sampling

The information from the collecting and identification labels was digitalized following direct input into Excel or SQL.

Quality Control

All the data was adjunted to the Darwin Core Archive standard.

Method steps

1. Digitalization of the collecting data from the specimens labels (Excel or SQL). Cleaing, curation and standardization of the data to the Darwin Core Archive standard. Publishing the datasets through GBIF-LAC IPT.
