The database includes finds of rare and common animal species within the Kherson administrative region.Sampling
Finds of animals were made both on routes and at inspection of accounting areas. Standard methods of bird counting were used, as well as methods of detecting mammals (tracks), insects, reptiles and amphibians (both visual recordings on night routes and vocalization).Quality Control
The author is fully responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset.Method steps

Geographic Coverages
The surveys covered some districts of the Kherson region, namely: the outskirts of Oleshky (floodplain of the Dnieper River), Arabatska Strilka and Lake Syvash near the village of Shchaslyvtseve, the outskirts of the villages of Stanislav and Oleksandrivka, Bilozersky district, Kherson region, as well as the outskirts of the village of Lazurne, the spit of Dzharylgach island and the western part of Dzharylgach Bay, Lake Ustrychne (near the village of Lazurne).
