Description

Kainji Lake National Parks in New Bussa Nigeria is responsible for protecting, preserving and conserving the gene pool of Flora and Fauna in the middle belt region of Nigeria. The protected area covers 5340.82 km2 harbouring different species of animals and plants. The protected area serves as representative sample for the Guinea Savannah region flora and fauna species hence a laboratory for research in biodiversity. This park is utilized by universities for research and training in environmental studies. The dataset presently holds 173 records of birds sighted between 2017 – 2018, consisting of 172 species, 112 genera and 47 families.
