This dataset contains the records of weevils belonging to UWIZM’s land arthropod collection. There are 933 weevils (superfamily: Curculionoidea) representing the following families: Anthribidae, Attelabidae, Brachyceridae, Curculionidae, Dryophthoridae, Eurhynchidae, Lycaenidae and Lycidae. These specimens are all stored in the Land Arthropod Room of the UWIZM.Sampling Description

Specimen identifications were checked by the UWIZM.Method steps
- 1. Specimens in the collection were assessed for existing data (pinned labels, etc) 2. Identifications were confirmed or made using a variety of literature sources (scientific papers, books, online resources) 3. Specimens were photographed and properly stored then the data was uploaded to the UWIZM Past Perfect database.

Geographic Coverages
The majority of specimens are from the Caribbean, with some specimens from the continents of North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Australia and Asia.
