A list of the tracheophyte names accepted in "Checklist of Flora of the Chukotkan Tundra" (Yurtsev et al., 2010). The dataset was compiled as a first step towards further processing of the modern checklist for Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Russia.

The dataset includes 1,159 accepted species, subspecies and variety names: 1,055 taxa consequentially numbered in the original source (several undescribed varieties were discarded) and 104 additional unnumbered entries. The following taxa were left unnumbered in the original source: (1) alien species, (2) records from references based upon specimens not seen by the authors, (3) records within Chukotka AO, but outside tundra zone, (4) earlier misidentifications, (5) records from neighbouring areas (Kolyma, Koriakia, etc.), (6) expected records. We extracted 104 unnumbered taxa (aliens, records from references, and non-tundra records within Chukotka) and added them here, whereas reported misidentifications, records from outside Chukotka AO and expected records were not included. As a result, this is the first comprehensive list covering flora of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Russia. However, the original source covers small tundra area on the right bank of the Lower Kolyma in Yakutia, therefore there is a tiny probability that some species do not occur within Ckukotka AO.

Several minor orthographic errors in either scientific names or their authors were corrected manually. Some names were not automatically cross-linked with the GBIF backbone.
