description
Note. Meigen (1818: 221) attributed the species to Hoffmansegg. When Edwards (1924 a) studied Meigen’s types, he remarked that very few of the Meigen species described from Hofmannsegg’s collection were present at Paris or Vienna. The location of Hofmannsegg’s collection has not been ascertained.
