diagnosis
Diagnosis. Males of N. ouali sp. nov. resemble those of N. lucasi comb. nov. (Fig. 91) in the eRTA represented by a strong spine-like apophysis (Figs 124 − 125). They are distinguished from this species by the vRTA developed as small bump at the base of the dRTA and by the TBE bifid, with two elongate branches (Figs 124 − 125). They are further distinguished from the other species of the genus by the TBC absent (Fig. 124). Females resemble those of N. saetosa comb. nov. (Fig. 129) in the median septum roughly oval (Fig. 126). They are distinguished from this species by the median septum smooth (Fig. 126) (with deep procurved groove in N. saetosa comb. nov.).
distribution
Distribution. Only known from the type locality (Map 4).
etymology
Etymology. The specific name is a noun and refers to the type locality. Oualie was the pre-Columbian name of Nevis Island and means “ land of the beautiful waters ” in reference to the island’s many fresh water and hot volcanic springs.
