The dataset includes a list of moss species registered in the basin of Izdrevaya River (second-order tributary in the upper reaches of the Ob River) – in area about 18x2 km with altitude 110-220 m above sea level. The vegetation cover of the territory is dominated by forests of Brachypodio pinnati–Betuletea pendulae class. The list includes 83 species, samples are in NSK (USU 440537). The work is under support of RFBR № 18-04-00822.Taxonomic Coverages
Geographic Coverages
The territory is located at the junction of the Altai-Sayan mountain region and the West Siberian Plain. It is an elevated hilly strongly dissected plain with absolute altitudes 100-230 m. The main morphological feature of the relief is a complex of ravines and gullies. The Izdrevaya River is a second-order tributary in the upper reaches of the Ob River. At the mouth the river valley is narrow, the sides of the valley are steep, there are rock outcrops; upstream the valley expands, here its bottom is flat and swampy. The climate of the territory is moderately warm with sufficient but unstable moisture. The sum of the average daily air temperatures over 10 °C is 1850 °; the average annual precipitation is 430-450 mm, of which 330 mm falls in summer; the ratio of precipitation to evaporation during the growing season (from May to September) is 0.7-0.8. Snow cover is formed in early November and lasts until mid-April. The vegetation cover of the territory is dominated by forests of Brachypodio pinnati–Betuletea pendulae class. The forests grow on the slopes of all expositions and of various steepness. In the bottoms of valleys and ravines swampy forests from Alneteae glutinosae class take place. The watershes are occupied by secondary meadows.
