Description

The resource basically covers much about the larger mammals of Liwonde National Park. By the time this resource was developed, no proper research had been conducted about the mammals of the national park. Even this time when this research was conducted, a lot of larger mammals had already disappeared but the variety was still high.

Liwonde National Park is in Machinga district. The data was collected when the national park had just been established as a protected area.

Sampling

The inventory of both plants and animals of Liwonde National Park actively involved research work of the students of Chancellor College. The inventory was conducted before the park was publicly declared a national park.

Literature does not outline methods undertaken to produce this resource. Probably, the step by step description of the research can be found in the students academic papers at Chancellor College.
