Data on the distribution of bees from both published and unpublished sources have been compiled into a national database on Ireland's bees.Purpose
This database was initially compiled as part of a Trinity College Dublin/Queen's University Belfast HEA funded research project on the conservation of Irish bees (2003-2006; Úna Fitzpatrick & Tomás Murray). It was used for conservation purposes, including the development of a Red List. It is now deposited with the National Biodiversity Data Centre and is managed by Úna Fitzpatrick.

- Various: field observations, transect walks, pan trapping, malaise trapping.
