With this project FLORON Plant Conservation Netherlands aims to maintain an up-to-date database of occurrence records and promptly signal changes to flora in the wild. The New Tally project pre-selects a set of kilometre plots that are examined twice a year. In addition, as many kilometre plots as possible that are not included in this selection are also examined as per the protocol. This is done to make sound statistical judgements about trends in the advance and decline of plant species in the Netherlands. The New Tally project employs a protocol that is characterized by a limited visiting period (4 to 12 hours, depending on the complexity of the landscape) and 2 counters (or groups of counters) who independently cross a plot during the inventory survey. Dataset available via https://www.ndff.nl/english / serviceteamndff@natuurloket.nl Positive observations without zeros. 577,584 records (March 2018) https://www.ndff.nl/overdendff/validatie/protocollen/12-204-nieuwe-strepen-floron/Taxonomic Coverages
