The database includes finds of rare and common species of insects, birds, mammals, fungi, plants and reptiles in the territory of Rzhyshchiv CATC and the surroundings of Kaniv.Sampling Description
Study Extent
The dataset consists of findings registered during field surveys on the territory of Rzhyshchiv CATC and Kaniv district (Kayi and Cherkasy regions respectivly).Sampling
During the field surveys standard methods of route accounting of birds (Hayne, 1947; Ravkin, 1967; Karyakin, 2004), reptiles and other animals were used. Registrations of mammals and insects were made mostly "accidentally" during ornithological and herpetological studies. Counting/detection of owls and some other birds' species was performed using phonograms of territorial sounds of these birds.Quality Control
The author is responsible for the quality of data presented within the dataset.Method steps
