The Instituto de Investigación en Ciencia y Tecnología "Antonio Brack" (ICIGA), is an institution dedicated to scientific and technological research, with the aim of generating new knowledge on environmental issues, both in our region and in the south Peru and the entire country, the same that, through its dissemination through various means, serves for decision-making and the generation of university and public policies. The priority areas of knowledge on which I intervened are related to the study of ecosystems, biological communities and populations of regional flora and fauna, especially those considered fragile or categorized as endangered or at risk of extinction. In addition, it carries out studies to solve environmental problems caused by human activities, especially within cities, rural and wild areas, negatively impacted by pollution and environmental degradation, as well as the use of tools for environmental management. in order to achieve social, economic and environmentally sustainable development.
