Leopard Grouper. To 100 cm (39.4 in) TL (Allen and Robertson 1994). Islas Coronados (Walker et al. 2020) to Bahía Banderas, Jalisco, Mexico (Thomson et al. 1979), including Gulf of California (Heemstra in Fischer et al. 1995), and Isla Guadalupe, central Baja California (Personal communication: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Fish Collection, Los Angeles, California).
