description
Cells are aerobic, Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated and rod shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, glistening and yellowish white colored after incubation for 2 days on marine agar medium at 30 ℃. In the API 20 NE system, positive reaction for nitrate reduction, hydrolysis of esculin and gelatin, β-galactosidase activity and utilization of Dglucose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, N acetylglucosamine, Dmaltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. In the API 20 NE system, negative reaction for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease activity, oxidase activity and utilization of L-arabinose, capric acid and adipic acid. Strain JBTFM 16 (= NIBRBAC 000503335) was isolated from tidal flat sediment in Jebu Island, Gyeonggi Province, Korea (37 ° 9 ′ 48 ″ N 126 ° 37 ′ 1 ″ E).
