The fungi occurring in the park’s area have been studied by a team of the park’s research officers in cooperation with the scientists of Lomonosov Moscow State University’s Biological Faculty, and Russian Academy of Sciences’ Botanical Institute (Saint-Petersburg).Taxonomic Coverages
Geographic Coverages
The Onega Pomorie National Park is situated in Arkhangelsk Region’s northern (north-eastern) and south-western parts of the Onega Peninsula – in the northern sector of the East European (great Russian) Plain. The most northern point is 65º10'10.5''N 37º2'14.2''E; the most southern point is 64º20'48.4''N 37º18'35.2''E; the most western point is 64º54'2.7''N 36º26'1.9''E; and the most eastern point is 64º46'4.7''N 38º35'27.8''E.
The Onega Pomorie National Park takes up an area of 201,668 hectares, inclusive of 180,668 hectares of forested lands and 21,000 hectares of water fund lands within the water area of the Gulf of Una in the White Sea (10% of the national park’s area).
