This dataset contains the records of true bugs (Hemiptera) belonging to UWIZM’s land arthropod collection. There are 3411 true bug records representing 26 families. These specimens are all stored in the Land Arthropod Room of the UWIZM.Sampling Description

Specimen identifications were checked by the UWIZM.Method steps
- 1. Specimens in the collection were assessed for existing data (pinned labels, etc) 2. Identifications were confirmed or made using a variety of literature sources (scientific papers, books, online resources) 3. Specimens were properly stored then the data was uploaded to the UWIZM Past Perfect database.
Taxonomic Coverages
All specimens belong to the order Hemiptera. Most were identified to at least the family level, and some to species.
