Ecdysis

Ecdysis (https://serv.biokic.asu.edu/ecdysis) is a Symbiota portal for managing invertebrate collections and research. The portal serves as a resource for the broader entomological community to digitize and manage collections data. Ecdysis is open to any collection from anywhere in the world – from graduate students and special research projects to large institutions. The portal also serves as a research hub where vouchered checklists and identification keys can be created using underlying specimen data within the portal. Ecdysis is designed to be a portal for active management and is managed by the Symbiota team (https://symbiota.org). Ecdysis partners with and publishes data to other entomological portals such as SCAN (https://scan-bugs.org), the Big Bee Library (https://library.big-bee.org), and large-scale aggregators such as GBIF.
