description
Description. Monosiphonic, unbranched stems, up to 130 mm high, divided into internodes. Angle between cauline apophyses and stem ca. 45 °. Cauline apophyses with two axillary nematophores, each emerging through simple perisarc hole (Fig. 8 B – C). Hydrocladia bifurcated (Fig. 8 A). First hydrocladial internode with two similar prongs (Fig. 8 A). Mesial inferior nematophore emerging from strongly marked swelling at proximal third of internode (Fig. 8 D – E); with large, claw-shaped nematoteca (Fig. 8 D – F). Hydrotheca elongate, situated on middle or distal half of internode (Fig. 8 D – E). Abcauline wall straight or slightly convex (Fig. 8 D). Hydrothecal aperture circular, roughly perpendicular to long axis of internode (Fig. 8 A, D). Gonothecae fusiform, with subterminal aperture.
