Bearded Eelpout. To 22 cm (8.7 in) TL (Eric Miller, pers. comm. to M. L.). Northern Oregon (45 ° 46 ’ N, 124 ° 40 ’ W) (Personal communication: University of Washington, Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture Fish Collection, Seattle, Washington) to between Islas San Benito and Isla de Cedros (28 ° 17 ’ N, 115 ° 28 ’ W), central Baja California (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Published reports of occurrence in the Bering Sea are mistaken (Mecklenburg et al. 2002).
