description
Loosetooth Parrotfish. To 32 cm (12.6 in) TL (Jiménez Prado and Béarez 2004). Santa Catalina Island, southern California (Lea et al. 2001); also Islas San Benito and Isla de Cedros (M. L., unpubl. data) and (mainland) Rocas Chester (27 ° 53 ’ N, 115 ° 04 ’ W), central Baja California (M. L., unpubl. data) to Iquique, northern Chile (Sielfeld et al. 2010), including Gulf of California (Robertson and Allen 2002), and Islas Galápagos (Grove and Lavenberg 1997).
