Description

The checklist consists of species of animals and plants that are rare or endangered in the territory of the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. The checklist was implemented by the decision of the Kyiv Regional Council of the Sixth Convocation dated February 7, 2012 "On Approval of the List of Regionally Rare, Endangered Species of Plants and Fungi in Need of Protection in the Kyiv Region and Provisions on It".

Study Extent

The Checklist covers the entire territory of Kyiv administrative region of Ukraine.

Sampling

Scientific names were manually extracted from the species list indicated on the web sites: https://www.botany.kiev.ua/doc/of_reg_sp.pdf

Quality Control

Scientific names, including authorship, are given using GBIF species matching tool.
