Description

Lichen collected during as survey rocky seashores on the south coast of Ireland in 2008

Purpose

To increase our knowledge on the lichens of rocky shores

Sampling Description

Quality Control

High quality, including identification using spore analysis and chemical tests where necessary. Some rare species were encountered and these were verified by two Scottish lichenologists, Dr. Brian Coppins and John Douglass. Specimens were collected for some species.
