The first phase of the Monitoring and Follow-up Plan within the framework of the SUFAZ project, corresponding to the BEFORE component of the B-BACI design. This project was developed in the Venezuelan Golf (Falcon Sate) and includes the study of the seabed and water quality, as well as the study of artisanal fisheries with experimental fishing and estimation of biological-fishing parameters in landings within the area of influence of Section D (Río Seco-Tiguadare). Characterize the fishing resources, the benthic communities, the planktonic communities (phyto-, zoo- and ichthyoplankton). The location is known as Golfo de Venezuela, in which exist few underwater oil and gas pipelines. The data represents an environmental monitoring program for PDVSA oil company.
