Description

The checklist consists of species of animals and plants that are rare or endangered in the territory of the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. The checklist was implemented by the decision of the Sumy Regional Council of the sixth convocation dated November 18, 2011 "On measures to strengthen the protection of rare and endangered species of plants, animals and mushrooms subject to special protection in the territory of Sumy Region".

Study Extent

The Checklist covers the entire territory of Kharkiv administrative region of Ukraine.

Sampling

Scientific names were manually extracted from the species list indicated on the web sites: https://nature.land.kiev.ua/animals-obl-18.html https://nature.land.kiev.ua/plants-obl-18.html

Quality Control

Scientific names, including authorship, are given using GBIF species matching tool.

Manual data transcribing from the document to the spreadsheet.
