Jointly organized by GBIF Uruguay, SiB Colombia, SiBBr and Canadensys, the workshop is part of one of the six projects selected to receive support from GBIF’s capacity enhancement support programme in 2015.
Among the goals of the workshop are building biodiversity data publishing capacity in Uruguay and strengthening regional capabilities in assessing data quality.
The workshop includes theory and practical sessions on topics ranging from digitization and publishing of biodiversity data, to concepts and tools in data quality assessment, and the structure and functionalities of the planned data portal on Uruguay’s biodiversity.
