Description
The biological collections of the Tobolsk complex scientific station are represented by collections of plants (vascular plants, mosses, liverworts, macroalgae), macromycetes (mushrooms, lichens), invertebrates. The collection of plants includes more than 5 thousand samples of vascular plants and more than 300 samples of bryophytes, of which more than 3 thousand samples are listed in a computer database. The collection of macromycetes unites more than 3 thousand samples of macroscopic mushrooms and lichens. The zoological collection contains more than 150 thousand specimens of insects and other invertebrate animals. Most of the materials were collected in Western Siberia, mainly in the Tyumen region, including the autonomous okrugs – the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. A small part of the collections is represented by collections from other regions of Russia, mainly from the Cis-Ural (east of the Russian Plain) and the Lower Volga basin. The collections contain materials on rare and protected in the Tyumen region species of plants, animals and mushrooms, as well as invasive species of organisms. There are a small number of typical samples of plants and fungi. The main collectors are employees of the organization. Collections are annually replenished with new samples due to expeditions of the organization’s employees.Contacts
