description
Description. Male. Body length approximately 9.0 mm [estimated value; a range of exact measurements was not possible, as all specimens had their terminalia extended to various degrees during the field work]. Head. Eye bare. Fronto-orbital and parafacial plates black with dense, light golden-yellow pollinosity (Fig. 3 C – E); postocular strip black with silvery pollinosity; parafacial setae in one row, weak; fronto-orbital plate with rows of fine setae. Frontal vitta black, about 4 times as broad as fronto-orbital plate at the narrowest point; frons at vertex 0.2 times head width; frontal setae 6 – 10; outer vertical seta differentiated from postocular setae; one reclinate orbital seta. One pair of strong ocellar setae, directed antero-laterally. Gena ground color black, with black setae, height 0.4 times eye height in lateral view; postgena with white setae. Antenna with first flagellomere brown, not reaching level of vibrissal insertion, 3 times as long as pedicel; pedicel black brown; arista long plumose in basal 1 / 2. Palpus black, not expanded in distal part. Thorax. Black in ground color, with silver-gray pollinosity; scutum with three black dorsal vittae. Chaetotaxy: acrostichals 3 + 1; dorsocentrals 3 + 4; intra-alars 1 + 3; supra-alars 2; postalars 2; postpronotals 2; notopleurals 4; scutellum with 1 apical, 1 subapical, 1 discal and 1 basal seta; katepisternal setae 1: 1: 1; prosternum setulose; postalar wall bare; proepisternum bare. Wing. Hyaline; subcostal sclerite brown, bare; tegula black, with black setae; basicosta light yellow, bare; costal spine not differentiated; vein R 1 setose dorsally; lower calypter white. Legs. Black; fore femur with one row of dorsal setae, one row of posterior setae and one row of ventral setae; fore tibia with one median posterior seta; mid femur with one row of anteroventral and posteroventral setae and with three median anterior setae; mid tibia with one median anterior, one median posterodorsal, two median posterior and one median posteroventral setae; hind femur with one row of anterodorsal setae, three median anterior, one apical and two median anteroventral setae, and long hair-like setae ventrally; hind tibia with one median anterodorsal, one median posterodorsal and two median anteroventral setae. Abdomen. Elongate oval, with yellowish gray pollinosity of the checkerboard pattern typical for most Sarcophaga; tergites 3 and 4 with a pair of median marginal setae, tergite 5 with a complete row of marginal setae. Terminalia. Epandrium black; cercus black, slightly curving ventrally in profile, tip with a small hook. Surstylus almost triangular but with slightly convex anterior margin. Pregonite subequal to postgonite, both curved ventrally, but pregonite broader and curved more strongly than postgonite, with blunt tip. Ventral plate triangular and elongate, almost hiding the harpes in lateral view; vesica moderate in size, undivided and almost like an inverted cone, expanded and rounded at the apex, with three subapical pointed projections, a median one plus a pair of lateral ones, the latter equipped with small denticles (Fig. 5 C – D); harpes well developed, shaped like a pair of pig’s ears and oriented in the transverse plane; juxta well developed, at least partly sclerotized, with a pair of long and club-shaped ventro-basal extensions. Female. Unknown.

Distribution. China (Guangxi [Jinxiu], Hainan [Jianfengling, Ledong]).
etymology
Etymology. The species name refers to the extensive membranous connection between the juxta and the remaining part of the distiphallus, and it should be treated as a noun in apposition.
