discussion
Remarks. Insularorchestia monodi has been erroneously reported from many places, but it appears to be confined to the Azores. There is no palmar notch of the male gnathopod 2 and the distal end of the dactylus is blunt. It should be noted that this species is based on material that is only 9.2 mm in length and may be immature.

Distribution. North Atlantic Ocean. Azores: São Miguel Island (Mateus, Mateus & Afonso 1986).
