Type species. Ampulicomorpha confusa Ashmead, 1893: holotype, female — California, USA (USNM). Distribution. All the zoogeographical regions, except Antarctica (Olmi 1996, 1997; Chény et al. 2020). World species. 24 species (Olmi et al. 2020). Host. Ectoparasitoids of nymphs of Achilidae (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha, Fulgoromorpha) living in rotten logs and feeding on fungus (Olmi et al. 2014). Note. Here, the genus is recorded for the first time from the Middle East, Iran (marked with an Asterisk).
