description
Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated and rod shaped. Colonies are circular, raised, entire and yellow colored after 10 days on R 2 A at 20 ° C. Negative for arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, β - galactosidase, gelatin hydrolysis, glucose fermentation, Indole production, nitrate reduction and urease in API 20 NE. D-Glucose, D-maltose, D-mannitol, D-mannose and potassium gluconate are utilized. Does not utilize N - acetyl-glucosamine, L-arabinose, adipic acid, capric acid, malic acid, phenylacetic acid and trisodium citrate. Strain IMCC 25615 (= NIBRBAC 000498005) has been isolated from a fresh water sample, Inkyong lake, Incheon, Korea.
