Negative for arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, glucose fermentation, indole production, nitrate reduction and urease in API 20 NE, but positive for esculin hydrolysis and β - galactosidase. Positive for utilization of L-arabinose, D-glucose, Dmaltose, D-mannitol and potassium gluconate. Does not utilize N - acetyl-glucosamine, adipic acid, capric acid, malic acid, D-mannose, phenylacetic acid and trisodium citrate.
