description
Cells are aerobic, Gramstainingpositive, nonflagellated and rod shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, glistening and light yellow colored after incubation for 4 days on MH agar at 30 ℃. In the API 20 NE system, positive reaction for hydrolysis of esculin and gelatin (weak) and β-galactosidase activity. In the API 20 NE system, negative reaction for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease activity, oxidase activity and utilization of D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, Dmannitol, N acetylglucosamine, Dmaltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain 19 D 1 C 16 (= NIBRBAC 000503259) was isolated from soil around the Dong River, Gangwon Province, Korea (37 ° 22 ′ 56.8 ″ N 128 ° 40 ′ 01.2 ″ E).
