Description

Database on the recordings of Lepidoptera and Odonata by the Lepidopterological Society of Denmark (https://www.lepidoptera.dk/litbase). Occurrences are based on observations and collecting by any means, trapping, photos etc. Specialiss check data for errors and unusual records, mostly by contacting the observer/recorder. To assure quality of data, only selected specialists are given access to enter records in the database.

Purpose

Monitoring distribution and faunistic changes of the Lithuanian Lepidoptera and Odonata, most important findings of Lepidoptera are published in printed form annually.

Lithuania, political, current observations by participants.

Sampling

Observation and collecting by any means, trapping, photos etc.

Quality Control

Specialist check data for errors and unusual records, mostly by contacting the observer/recorder. To assure quality of data, only specialists are given access to enter records in the database.

Quality control is performed currently, with extra control annually.
