The family Nymphalidae is the large group of butterflies with high species riches. Rhinopalpa polynice (Cramer, [1779]), a forestry species, was discovered in the midstream of the Yuanjiang-Red River Valley of Yunnan Province for the first time, which comprises the first record of the genus Rhinopalpa in China.The species R. polynice (Cramer, [1779]) is the first record of the genus Rhinopalpa from China. The specimens was collected in the midstream of the Yuanjiang-Red River Valley of Yunnan Province. The female genitalia and abdomen exoskeleton is described for the first time.Taxonomic Coverages
