Description

7042 new catalogue records of Hymenoptera were digitised onto the Iziko Specify6 database during 2015. These specimens collected from a number of countries, mostly in Africa, and Mauritius, Madagascar and the United Kingdom. Represent pinned specimens and specimens in ethanol. Some samples from systematic surveys in Western and Northern Cape.

Various. More recent samples collected using Malaise traps, colour pan traps, sweep netting or by hand.

Quality Control

No. Requires georeferencing and verification. Large number of errors identified but not yet corrected.
