This online workshop was organized by the BIFA project “Mobilizing Indonesian butterfly collections at the Museum Zoologi Bogor (II) and supported also by the Center for Biological Research, Indonesian Institute of Sciences-BRIN.
Attended by 60 participants and organizers, the workshop began with an introduction to the project and the activities involved. It then proceeded to demonstrate the treatment of photographs of butterflies in nature, which had been submitted by butterfly enthusiasts a few days prior to the event.
The expected uploading of data from these butterfly photographs to GBIF, shows the importance of citizen science’s contribution.
