description
Description. Shell height to 20 mm (up to 22 mm according to Cernohorsky 1970); biconical-fusiform, solid. Protoconch large, smooth, of 2.25 slightly convex whorls. Teleoconch of up to 4.25 whorls, slightly convex in outline; last whorl comprising about 75 % of total shell height. Suture deep, impressed. Surface white; sculptured with weak spiral threads, more evident at the base and the suture; and well marked growth lines. Periostracum yellowish, with white spiral bands. Aperture elongated, interior white; columella with 4 or 5 prominent folds, callus thick; siphonal canal short, straight, wide.
