Distribution. Djibouti, Gulf of Aden (Gravier 1900). Adriatic Sea, Turkish Aegean Sea, Ionian Sea, North West Italy, East and western Mediterranean Sea, North East Atlantic, East coast of Spain (Musco & Giangrande 2005). New record for Socotra.
materials_examined
Material examined. Rush 009, Samha, 12 º 10.317 ’ N 53 º 04.383 ’ E, upper intertidial among algae, coll. T. Wehe 7.4.2000, 2 specimens (SMF 26700). Habitat. Intertidal, amongst algae. Typically found in intertidal pools, specially on calcareous concretions of biological origin, like vermetid reefs, coral blocks, Posidonia oceanica rhizomes, photophilic and sciaphilic algae (López et al. 1996).
