Lactobacillus kimbladii (kim. bla‘di. i. N. L. gen. n. kimbladii named after beekeeper Tage Kimblad, for his significant contributions to the discovery of the LAB microbiota in the honey stomach of honeybees). Lactobacillus kimbladii grows at 15 to 50 ° C and D (−) - lactate from glucose, fructose, mannose and tagatose, but not from ribose, sorbitol, cellobiose and lactose [89]. The genome size is 2.19 Mbp and the mol % G + C content of DNA is 36.0. Isolated from the honeystomach of the honeybee A. mellifera.
