description
Speckled Scorpionfish. To 33 cm (13 in) TL (John Snow, pers. comm. to M. L.). At least as far north as Todos Santos (23 ° 24.6 ’ N, 110 ° 13.8 ’ W), southern Baja California (John Snow, pers. comm. to M. L.) to Peru (4 ° 55 ’ S, 81 ° 19 ’ W) (Chirichigno 1974), including Gulf of California (Poss in Fischer et al. 1995). Benthic; depth: about 20 m (66 ft) (Aguilar-Palomino et al. 2001) to 351 m (1,151 ft) (Robertson and Allen 2008).
