description
Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, non-pigmented, and short rod-shaped. Colonies are small, circular, sticky, convex, and yellow-colored after 3 days of incubation on MA (pH 6.0) at 30 ° C. Positive for urease, esculin hydrolysis, β - galactosidase, and cytochrome cytochrome oxidase, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, and gelatinase in the API 20 NE test. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N - acetylglucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are not utilized. Strain CAU 1064 (= NIBRBAC 000498499) was isolated from soil, Jeju-do, Korea.
