This guide describes the fieldwork method and requirements for the standardisation of data collection with the aim of sureveying Muscardinus avellanarius. The size of the population of a species is estimated based on an annual count of the nests of the Muscardinus avellanarius on fixed transacts by trained volunteers. This data also serves to predict future trends in population changes. Dataset available via https://www.ndff.nl/english / serviceteamndff@natuurloket.nl Positive observations without zeros. 4,772 records (March 2018) https://www.ndff.nl/overdendff/validatie/protocollen/17-203-meetnet-hazelmuizen/Taxonomic Coverages
