Sochi " Dendrarium " was founded by Sergey Nikolaevich Khudekov in 1892, as a park at his Sochi villa "Hope". In 1944, on its base, the Sochi Scientific and Research Experimental Station of Forestry and Forestry Economy is formed. In 2012, the park "Dendrarium" as part of the Scientific Research Institute of Mountain Forestry and Forest Ecology was transferred to the management of the Federal Law "Environmental Protection" of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. The Order of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation of April 25, 2016 No. 261 approved the Regulations on the dendrological park of federal significance "Dendrarium", according to which the Sochi "Dendrarium" was granted the status of a specially protected natural area. The climate is humid-subtropical, the average annual temperature is + 14.2 ° C, the absolute minimum is -13.4 ° C, the absolute maximum is + 39.4 ° C, the average monthly air temperature in January is + 6.0 ° C, for the year an average of 1684 mm of precipitation falls.
