The Waterwatch program is a partnership between the ACT government and a large number of amazing volunteer community groups and individuals who set aside a small amount of time each month to collect a range of water quality data at over 320 sites established throughout the region. Information collected by volunteers contributes to our understanding of the health of the catchments and is a way of monitoring the effects of changes in land management practices. Data is collected using standard equipment and methods and volunteers are trained in their use to ensure that results are consistent and comparable.Purpose
