Description of Diaminobutyricibacter tongyongensis R 1 - 6 Cells are Gramstainingpositive, nonflagellated, nonpigmented and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, entire and yellow-colored on R 2 A at 30 ° C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and βgalactosidase in API 20 NE but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease and gelatinase. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannitol, Dmannose, N-acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, gluconate, caprate, adipate, malate, citrate and phenylacetate are not utilized. Strain R 1 - 6 (= NIBRBA 0000114812) has been isolated from soil, Daejeon, Korea.
