Large-eye Dragonfish. To more than 22 cm (8.7 in) SL. Circumglobal; western Pacific Ocean north to northern Japan (Balanov et al. 2009), and Russian north-western Pacific (Orlov and Tokranov 2019); southern Bering Sea, Alaska, Gulf of Alaska and Washington (Stevenson et al. 2009); also eastern Pacific in North Central Gyre at latitude of central Baja California (27 ° 27 ’ N, 155 ° 27 ’ W) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California).
